MAKER: Frederic Remington was the original artist but do not know who made this pour, however, it is not one of the newer cheap versions, it is quality vintage one.

Offered here for your consideration are a group of five Skookum dolls. These dolls have a great history that began in the early 1900s. Mary McAboy first started to make dolls that resembled Native Americans and their popularity increased so much that from 1920-1960 they were factory made by H H Tammen to keep up with demand, mostly selling in tourist spots. The dolls have plastic heads and are wrapped in blankets and have accents of jewelry, necklaces, hair ties, even cigarettes. This lot includes two large men, one large woman, one large baby and a small child doll. One of the male dolls has the Skookum tag on the bottom of his foot.
