This incredible set includes a bolo tie, belt buckle, pair of watch tips, pendant, money clip and three rings—each showcasing Effie Calavaza’s signature snake motif winding around turquoise and coral cabochons set in sawtooth silver bezels. Most pieces feature turquoise, while two of the rings include both turquoise and coral. Silver dots and hand stamped designs further accent the designs. The bolo slide is on a black braided cord with matching tips and dangles, the pendant hangs from a strand of sterling silver beads strung on coated wire with silver findings and the rings are finished with smooth silver bands. MAKER: All the pieces are hallmarked Effie C. ZUNI. Effie Calavaza (1928-; Zuni). Active since 1950s. The hallmark on one of the rings is partially worn.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between the 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The bolo tie measures 40 inches from end to end including the tips and dangles. The slide measures 2 inches wide x 2 7/8 inches tall and the tips/dangles measure 5/8 inch wide x 3 1/2 inches long. The rings are a size 9, 9 3/4 and 12. They measure between 5/8 inch to 7/8 inch wide x 5/8 inch to 1 1/4 inches tall. The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches wide x 2 1/8 inches tall and the necklace measures 21 inches from end to end. The watch tips measure 1 1/8 inches wide x 1 3/8 inches long. The money clip measures 3/4 inch wide x 1 7/8 inches long. The belt buckle measures 2 1/8 inches tall x 3 3/8 inches wide and fits a 1 3/8 inch belt. The lot weighs 311.0 grams.
