Available here for your consideration are a nice pair of Mexican silver inlay spurs, Buermann spurs and North & Judd spurs. A nice collection of working cowboy spurs for your collection. The North & Judd spurs come with ten point rowels and very nice large carved leather heel bands. The Mexican spurs are double mounted and have large eight point rowels along with leather straps. The Buermann spurs have chap guards, heel chains and plain leather straps. These spurs are fine examples of the working cowboys tools. Make your bid today!
MAKER: One pair is stamped with an anchor. North & Judd was founded in 1832 and quickly grew into a leading supplier for the U.S. Army during the Civil War, Spanish American War and into World War I. In 1926, they bought out the Buermann Company and continued using the Buermann name. North and Judd was slowly phased out.
APPROX AGE: Antique (meaning made prior to the 1930s).
SIZE: The heel openings on the Mexican spurs measures 3 inches, the band width measures 2 3/8 inches and the shanks measure 2 inches long overall. The heel openings on the Buermann spurs measures 3 inches, the band width measures 5/8 inches and the shanks measure 2 3/8 inches long overall. The heel openings on the North Judd spurs measures 2 3/4 inches, the band width measures 3/8 inches and the shanks measure 2 3/8 inches long overall.
CONDITION: Average to good for their age with normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
