Offered here for your consideration is an antique quilled sheath with bone handles Dag knife. This Dag knife has a bone handle that is riveted to the blade. The blade is double edged with a sharp point. The leather sheath is decorated with red, white and blue quilling on one side. Dag knives were also known as Beavertail knives due to the shape of the handle. These knives were used by trappers, hunters and Native Americans as far back as the early 1800s. APPROX AGE: Antique on the sheath (likely more modern on the knife). 
SIZE: Knife measures approximately 11 1/2 inches long x 2 inches wide with 6 1/2 inch long blade. Sheath measures approximately 8 inches long x 3 inches wide. 
CONDITION: Fair for its age with wear and minor imperfections expected. Knife handle has a broken edge near the blade. Sheath quiling is coming off. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
