Offered here for your consideration is a Puerco black on red figural pottery bowl. Constructed with the coil method with ground shards and sand for temper, circa 1050 to 1225 A.D., Puerco black on red is distinguished by its large bold decorative elements separated by fields of thin parallel lines. This fantastic bowl has seven small circles of red that the artist defined by filling the rest of the interior with fine black parallel lines. Six of the circles occupy the sides of the bowl and each contains a seven point star, while the center of the bowl hosts a large circle within which a horned toad rests. Beautifully executed, this bowl would shine in any collection of pottery, Native American artifacts, or simply art works. It will add sophistication and interest to your home or office decor. So many possible uses, but only one chance to purchase, so do not miss out, Bid Now!
