Offered here for your consideration are approximately 200 carats of natuural high grade Candelaria turquoise cabochons. The color ranges from bright blue to bluish green to dark blue, and all of them have great matrix throughout. This lot includes nineteen natural shaped, cut and polished turquoise cabochons in a variety of sizes and shapes. Candelaria turquoise is mined in the Candelaria Hills in Southwest Nevada. The mine is owned by Silver Standard Company and is only mined periodically due to having been exploited for silver and gold since the mid-1800s. The turquoise mined here rivals some of the best in the world, and the most sought after features a dark blue with red webbing.These would look gorgeous in your next project or added to a collection.
PROVENANCE: This turquoise comes from a very well known/award winning jewelry artist's turquoise stash.
MAKER: Mother Earth, but recently cut by man.
APPROX AGE: Ancient.
SIZE: The cabochons in this lot range from 3/8 inch to 5/8 inches wide at the widest point and 1/2 inch to 7/8 inch long. The total weight for this lot is approximately 200 carats.
CONDITION: Good for their age, with minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
HANDLING: There will be a $5 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot.
