For your bidding pleasure we present a figural Hopi coiled basket. This beautiful polychrome basket features an eagle as its central design. Below the eagle, the weaver included three deer, while above the eagle is an arc of a red, tan, brown and black geometric pattern. A nice handle at the top finishes off this fine basket. Baskets are vital to the Hopi people for various religious and social ceremonies and Hopi baskets are among the finest such items produced by the Southwest’s Native people. MAKER: Unknown weaver. 
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning anywhere from the 1930s to 1970s). 
SIZE: This item measures 1 5/8 inches deep x 12 inches in diameter.
