Offered here for your consideration is a unique Santo Domingo pottery pitcher. This low pitcher has a wide opening to the bowl and is beautifully decorated in black on buff inside and outside the bowl with floral designs and scalloped edges. Santo Domingo Pueblo (Kewa) is located south of Santa Fe in northern New Mexico. Its potters are known for simple, bold designs that have changed little since the 1700s. Generally birds, animals and flowers, in addition to geometrics, are seen on the pottery. This unique piece of artistic pottery would be a great addition to your collection. Make a bid today.
