Offered here for your consideration is "The Outcast" a sculpture by Ken Payne. In this sculpture, numbered 36 of 100, the artist focuses on the wildlife of the Southwest with his depiction of a defeated wild canine, coyote, or wolf, tail between his legs, head down, and looking back as he slinks into exile from his pack. Ken Payne was raised on a large ranch in New Mexico. His cowboy life in the Southwest inspired his choice to use Native Americans, pioneers, cowboys, and wildlife as the subjects of his sculptures in order to preserve and convey a sense of frontier life. This is a nice, detailed sculpture depicting a moment in the life of an archetypal southwestern animal. Bid now and add it to your decor!
