Available here for your consideration are a pair of brass mounted spurs with barbed wire designs. They are marked Bar W with an interesting design. They were sold by the Zia Trading Post out of New Mexico. It is our understanding they were imported by the Trading Post owner, and then mounted with various designs by the local Native Americans working for him.
PROVENANCE: Earl Bridges estate. Earl was a well-known bit and spur collector and a walking encyclopedia on the history of them.
MAKER: Marked Bar W.
APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern (meaning 1980s or newer).
SIZE: The heel openings measure 3 1/4 inches, the band width measures 1 inch and the shanks measure 2 1/8 inches long overall.
CONDITION: Average to good for their age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
