Description: For your collection we offer for sale in this lot a nice, small seed jar created by known artist Fannie Nampeyo. This is an old, Hopi handmade pot from an old collection. This is the Ashby collection and it is the first time this item has been on the market in a very, very long time! The Ashby collection was handed down from their 2 grandfathers, both of which worked on the Navajo reservation in the early 1900s. This item was appraised at the Heard Appraisal day a few years back and a copy of that info is included. Maker: Fannie Nampeyo, (Hopi, 1900 - 1987). Approx. Age: Early to mid-1900s. Size: 6-1/2”w x 3-1/2” tall. Condition: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description. Shipping: There will be a $10 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot. The actual cost of postage will be added on top of that.
