Live Auction
September 9th Live Auction Event at Western Trading Post
Offered here for your consideration is a group of vintage cattle themed items. This is a great group of mostly Arizona memorabilia related to cattle and livestock. There's a great old black and white photo from the Arizona National Livestock Show as well as a nametag on a ribbon from the 1947 Arizona Cattle Grower's Association convention! The nametag, that belonged to Thomas Jensen of Fredonia, has a copper state seal that is engraved on the back "Compliments of Phelps Dodge Corp.". The bolo tie is handmade of sterling silver and has a 3D steer head on it.There is even an old miniature hay bale! But the showcase of this lot is the trophy with the metal steer that was awarded to the high point man in 1957, by Progress Hereford Ranch! All of these items have a great story behind them and would make a fun addition to any home or Western collection.
